I was thinking about getting the MSD 6a ignition amplifiers and the MSD blaster coil for my 1995 Dakota with the 318. Has anyone done this? Are they good, bad, what? Thanks

I have one on my 92 it was pretty easy install and the only difference I noticed was a 2mpg difference in fuel economy but it also idles smoother than before to NO NOTICEABLE POWER INCREASE BUT i still thinks it a worthy investment

If you plan on future MODS, then it's worth it. You need a better ignition for performance stuff.

i just bought the msd 6a ign. amp and the blaster coil for my 97 5.2 i get 11-13 mpg now, so if i get 2 more, il be happy. like boomer said, for the future its a good investment, along with a borg and warner cap and rotor, autolites, and msd or jba wires.

I have the MSD 6a, 8.5 super conductor wires and blaster 3 coil. I noticed a big gain in mpg's and also works well with nitrous/boost.

one thing with the MSD, it's necessary to change the cap and rotor every 10-12k as it will destroy them.
