Subject: Installed 52mm TB!!! Idle Problem Now!!! IP: Logged
Message: Alright once again I need someones help! I installed my 52mm f&B today which took about an hour to do!
Now that its on it idles really high and seems to want to stay there! I cleaned the IAC with carb cleaner and was really careful not to move it! The plunger was sticking out when I took it out of the stocker and thats how I left it when I put it back in!
One thing I did notice is that when the truck isnt running the pedal feels normal and then when I start it the pedal gets really stiff!
Im sure everything is back the way it is supposed to be! I also reset the cpu twice! Tomorrow the M1 goes on and would like to know what the problem is! I did the throttle body today to save time tomorrow with the M1 install!
Can anyone help with this matter??? Archives didnt give any answers! Sorry for the long post!
New IAC solenoid maybe???
Drew

Message: I would check the linkages and cables again. It sounds like that may be your problem, since you said it stiffens up as you push the gas. Sounds like something is in a bind. Hope that helps.
P.S. I put a 50mm on mine and the idle moved up noticeable as well. Put the stock tb back on and it went away. May just be due to more airflow. Don't know for sure, but it is annoying.

Um...hahaha if you havent realized the throttle body has solenoids on it that has to be switched over to the new one! now all I have to do it take it off and put it on the M1 and I save time switching things over tomorrow! Now all I have to do is plop it on the M1! Is that better for you!! Or do you need pictures!

Message: Well I got up this morning and double checked everything once again! I started it up and drove it around the block and the idle has seems to have gotten alot better! Took it up to 4 grand in first and it went right back down as the truck slowed down!
Maybe it was the linkage spring being to stiff???? Or the computer learning the mod??
There is a definite gain but feels like I lost some torque but thats cool because I'm building up to the blower so I dont mind it for now!
Time to go do the M1!
Thanks guys
