 Subject: Best Mod for 4.7

I have a 00 4.7 with a flowpro dual set up and a homebrew intake that works deceint. Of course I want more performance out of it. Ive heard alot of different things out the Jet chips and if they actualy work. So from experience, what would be the best mod around $500? do i get rid of the homebrew intake? what should be next. Any feedback would be awsome. thaanks

I'll never understand you arrogant "search button" folks...to save yourself time? Typing "H.o. cams" takes less effort then "uhhh try the search button, it work's great". A search could take this newbie 100 times as long as it takes you to type in the name of one friggin mod...jesus have some respect...this is an open forum which means newbies come by now and then all you search button hawks need to just clam up...punks! search this!

i have the ho cams and intake, along with alot of dakota people on this site. They are the high output cams used in the HO jeep 4.7 engine. They won't give you that 30hp difference between the two engines, but you will definetly notice a difference in torque. I think people have gotten an extra 14 horse and up to 20ft lbs of torque out of them. They will not void your warrenty either. I had my dealership do the install.

Ian...the reason is called bandwidth...and the other reason is that others don't want to sift thru a bunch of posts that are all the same topic....search doesn't take 100 times as long. I fact there have been times that I've found answers faster....

If it hasn't been brought up for a while I can see a new post I guess...otherwise it's better to take a quick peek first. I'll add that the search engine could be better here. As a matter of fact....gulp...it could use cleaned up a bit too.

for $500, you can do the cams and the intake with HO.
