What is the best supercharger for my 02 R/T CC. I currently have the M1, 1.7 RR, 52mm TB, K&N FIPK, PPH headers, and magna flow dumped no cats. No computer mods yet. I want to get a supercharger soon but don't know which to get. I'm not crazy about tapping the oil pan, but if I have to, then I guess I have to.

I'm pretty fond of my little Paxton entry level blower. The NOVI-1000. (4.7L)

The Novi-2000's for the R/T's are making some good power.

The Vortech's have been running strong numbers on the R/T's for a while now.

Don't want to tap the pan? There are ways around that, even with the return systems.

Does the Paxton Novi2000 require you to tap the oil pan? What would I be expected to run in the 1/4 with a paxton or vortec with the mods I have now? Thanks for your help man?

Yes it does recquire the return line, but... Like I mentioned above, there are ways around that.

What might you expect to run?

I ran 14.00 at 99mph with a stock truck + 6-7psi
I ran 13.35 at 102.48mph with exhaust and 21# injectors, and that's with a lil 287ci motor.

I imagine the charger if bolted on a "stock" R/T would get you in the neighborhood of 13.70'ish?

What other options are there so you do not need to tap the pan on a Vortech? I know I have heard people attaching fittings to the oil pulg at the bottom, but Vortech tech support strongly discouraged this route. They said the oil needs to drain freely by gravity above the oil line, but lower than the supercharger. Any methods that meet these requirements without tapping the pan?

Scott
