Message: I was looking at these cams rather then the Mopar cams. Any opinions?
Which of the Cams compare to the Mopar cams? The 200, or 206?

Message: Thanks,
John @ McKinney Dodge Parts is willing to sell me the Mopar HO cams for $108.00 each and the HO intake cost is $148.00. I'm not sure about the intake yet though. I do alot of pulling and have 33" on it. Might do better with just the cams I think.
I got the powerslots and pads by the way. Just have to find time to install them.
Thanks anyway.

Message: I would tell John about the group buy that we had here and ask if he will match that price, I bought the cams for $58 a piece and the intake for like $126 or something close to that. The only reason the price has went up is because all of us Dakota guys are buying up the stored Jeep parts and the dealers are aware of this so they raise the prices. By the way the cams are awsome when you get them in, and add a bigger tb and you will love it!!!!

Did you ever run just the cams by themselves?

Message: Cams alone seemed up a bit (maybe 1 mpg). I had only cams for about 500 miles (1 week) before I put on the intake manifold though...

Message: So you are getting 30 MPG now right? Haha, but what would you say your are getting about? And do you have the 4.7 with the auto or 5 speed, and is your 4x4 or 2 wheel, and which rear end. I might be able to talk the wife into the group buy price, but it would be some fancy foot work if I do.

Message: My mileage is about the same, around 16.5-18 is what I average, but I am heavier and have 4x4 with 3.55's. I am sure I would get better if I could stay out of it all the time but it is too fun with the cams and the Fastman 68mm on there not to be to the floor.

Message: Have a Dodge Ram with a 4.7 in it , and was wanting to install the Jeep H.O. intake and cams. My question is , what about the stock pcm? Will it compensate, or will it need a program change? If so, how do I locate the correct program, and how do I get it installed? The local dealership is totally useless when talking about performance upgrades, and I can't find any knowledgable people who could give me a correct answer. I have already done the standard cat-back exhaust/ air intake / headers/ etc. and was a little dissapointed. I have seen a lot of Dakota guys who have made this conversion, and was looking to them for help.

Message: Don't worry about your computer, you don't have to change anything. If you do the cams yourself, just wait till everything is done, then pull the neg battery cable off and then turn the key in the ignition to start and hold it there for 10-20 sec. After that put the neg cable back on and you're done. You just reset the computer to "learn" your new parts. That is all there is to it. I would highly reccomend a bigger throttle body with the cams also, if you don't have one already. Get something like a Fastman 68mm, that will make the biggest improvement along with the cams.
Later,
Andrew
