Two years ago I got my truck E-tested with the catalytic converter broken and rattling, figuring that if i failed if you spend so much you automatically pass it. I ended up passing it with the screwed up converter anyways. A couple of months later sick of the rattling c.c I put a new one on. I brought it in recently to get it tested again and it failed badly. I brought it home and gave it a tune up, I noticed the roter was arking so I changed it along with the distributor cap, changed the plugs, changed oil, oil/air filter and put some "guarenteed 2 pass" in the gas. I brought it back to get tested again and it failed again just as bad. The truck runs great so I don't understand. My only other guess is possibly the O2 censor. I don't have the money to waste on the engine analysis at muffler man at $120 just to tell me what it might be. Need help big time. Any sugestions would be appreciated.

Go to autozone and get a free code scan of the computer. if it is the O2 that'll tell you.
