Message: it would cost you more to fab it, unless you could do it on your own, then it would be to go buy one that fits your truck. I wont even begin to mention what it would cost to be able to tune it

Message: I know what's involved because I have one sitting in my garage along with a spare Magnum 3.9 intake.
My question was, has anyone else ever tried it?

Message: I don't know of anyone that has put a roots on their dakota. I think the Lightning uses a roots type. The problem with the roots is poor thermal efficiency. It's going to run hotter than the centrifugal or twin screw (which already run plenty hot). If you feel like experimenting, go for it.
