Subject: SS vs. Aluminized IP: Logged
Message: I'm thinking about getting a magnaflow in place of my stock muffler and was wondering if it was worth the extra $20 for the stainless muffler over the aluminized version.
Thanks,

Message: I am a firm believer in always getting the best I can. If that aluminized one rots out you will be wishing you spent the extra 20 bucks. If you buy the best the first time around you will never be wishing you did. Plus, whats 20 bucks? A few cups of coffee.

Message: That's true. I've always thought you get what you pay for (within reason), but I just wondered if it would rot out in a few years anyway (since it's really just a glasspack). The $20 is not really an issue, I just wasn't sure if it was worth it if the insides were going to blow out anyway.
Thanks for the advice,
BAE

Message: Generally, the SS exhausts have a lifetime warranty.
I got the Gibson aluminized cat back and have regretted not getting the SS version from day one!
After two years, I haven't had any problems with it. Who knows, maybe when the muffler starts rusting out and gets louder, I might like it!!!

Message: Are you going to be switching the whole system or just the muffler itself? I can get you either one of those. Email me for a price.
