Hmmm Lets see my preivous 2 "Real Trucks" So called by SSracer were GMs , New 1996 Gmc Seirra .. Cold engine knock GM says is normal ... Well a lemon law later and a 1997 GMC Seirra 4,500 Hmm Cold engine knock again GM says this is normal still and wont hurt anything "Its normal for that engine to knock" OK I bought a R/T 48,000 miles later , supercharged , and a few other mods , run the piss out of it daily and not one problem .. Let see SS Fugly ugly truck that will soon break , Knock , Rust and fall into the hands of some hilljack whom will lift it 14 feet and put some aluminum slots on it and 6" exhaust pipes straight up behind the cab with flappers on them LOL .. Dude like its ugly .. Thats just all I can think of UGLY Truck for $40,000 Hehe now hows the idiot hear Ugly POS for $40k or a Badass/goergous Dakota for under 20k ??

SSRacer, if it wasnt so far for me to get to california, i would load up both of my cars and strap a 12.90 @ 105 on you with my small block 69 Charger and if that wasnt enough for you to get your fix of losing, then id have to lay down the law with an 11.40 @ 121 with my 440 powered 67 Plymouth Belvedere. so if yor down to drive to texas then we can settle this right now whether its with a dak or not.

Well...maybe if you live in a trailer park...but that's a different story. Why did you bring up the Vette when we're debating about trucks you moron? And besides, if you're not on a budget, as you claim you are not, why wouldn't you spend a few extra thousand and just get the Vette? Whats with the 1 inch gaps between all the stick on (plastic) body mouldings, all the pieces look like they are all about 3/4" short but shi-tvy, just stuck them on anyway. Not to mention that they seemed to have put the grill on upside down

While we're on the subject on the Avalanche... I thought those things would be a little quicker with the horsepower they generate (even with the additional weight).
I totally spanked one just yesterday... I was in the right lane, back one car from the Avalanche in the left lane. The light turned green, and he took off like crazy as did the guy in front of me. I had to lay off a bit, as I didn't want to ram the guy in fron tof me. As soon as I got enough room, I floored it and passed him by 2 car lengths by the time we hit 60 mph.
I have the 4.7L engine with only the fastman TB and the IP Stage III intake for mods... so I was quite surprised at the results... :-D

I have a 92 Dakota swb reg cab with a 5.2 v8 i have Hooker super comp headers, underdrive pulleys, 24 pound injectors, Comp cam, K&N cold air intake, MP computer, MP tranny with a 2500 stall, MSD 6Al, MSD coil with a 125 Hp shot of NOS
i still have the stock 3.55 rear but i put a powertrax locker in it and i have killed 3 silverado ss trucks and about 10 lightnings my best e/t at the track is 12.62 at 107 mph on drag slicks and also its my daily driver.

Its all about the joy of having a good pick-up, i doesnt really matter what it looks like too much. I'm sure that Stephen is VERY happy with his truck, especially when some 30k Lightning or a 50k SS pulls up and he blows the doors off of it. The he thinks, wow, my truck that cost a LOT less than that truck.

`F-150, I have a 2001 Dak Sport 5 spd 4.7 almost
stock, lowered, sticky tires, headers ready to
go on, and it'll spank your truck everyday,
until it finally breaks down and you get a Dodge
cuz they look and ride so much better. Plus,
with the Mercedes influenced 4.7, it's actually
not a POS, not that a 318 is, but it's just even
better still.
Since you're so bored you have to post on our
forum, where do you live, I'm in Little Rock,
and I'd love for you to show me how much of a
POS my truck is.
Is that why consumer reports rates it so high
and called it a "best buy"? Just wondering.
I know of several f-150's that have had to have
new motors before 100k. That's what I call a POS.
Ford Sucks, only their Mazda influenced 4.0 L
was a good motor, and the 4.6 is an excellent
motor, but their transmissions suck. Hands down
though, I get better gas mileage and can pull
just as much with a better looking truck.
I don't think you get any girls, and that's all
that's wrong.

FROM Nissan, I went to Dodge, and they're both better than that list of misfit plastic/metal boxes you listed.
BTW: It's pretty f_cking stupid to build a "Performance" truck on a 5500 lb platform, ask anybody that races or that has a functioning brain. ANY company that attempts this is saying a LOT about their engineering/ corporate dept. You can say your F-149 is an awesome truck all day long, but it'll never change what it will always remain, a f_ucking POS ford.
And you can say that our trucks are POS's all day long, but that wont change the service records and Consumer reports ratings.
And I KNOW you don't work for them cuz you're obviously mentally impaired to continue posting what a POS a truck that will outlast/outperform yours is.
