ok, i am ordering a dak cc 4.7l 5-speed, what are a few things i can get to help the gas mileage. I am not loking fo rextreme mods that do hp gains, but just a few that do mpg gains. I was going to start out with K&N replacement filter and flowmaster, or some kinda of muffler and a tonneau cover, how much will those help, what else can i do thats not too expensive?

I picked up about 1 to 1 1/2 mpg by going to full synthetic in my new 03 4 x 4 auto -3.92 gears. Now I can squeeze 14 in town and 16 to 17 on the hwy, have a gibson exhaust, tonneau cover and K&N. That's the best I can get.

Not much helps the 4.7 with gas mileage other than maybe a tonneau, and free flowing exhaust. On the intake side of things, for some reasons, the 4.7 likes a little restriction, i.e. factory air box. No reving above 3K when accelerating will help with gas mileage.
