I just bought a used 1999 Dakota CC 4x4 5.2l. I was wondering how this truck would stack up against a 5.2 or 4.7 RC -or- CC 4x2 Dakota perforance wise. Would it be worth is for me to really hook it up? Supercharger, throttle body etc. Thanks for the advise.

SURE, if you want to tear them up in snow and slop! On dry pavement though the extra weight of the 4x4 is gonna make you slower than a 2 wheeler. Not a lot slower....but slower.
If you wanted a race truck you probably would've been better off with the 2x4 ... but 4 wheelin' is just as much fun as racin' in my book!
A few extra ponies never hurt anyone ... just have funnnnnn
