 Subject: weezing sound that raises/lowers w/ rpms

I have a 90 dakota a500 trans that was rebuilt 10k ago. It started a weezing sound instead of the smooth sound it had when i first got it back.It raises and lowers with the rpms. I cant tell where its coming from, the motor or the trans or somewhere else. This happens cold or hot.

have you checked the level of fluid in the trans. If it is low the convertor could make this sound and it would be hell to locate...
Does it do it at idle so you can try to locate it better by listening closely?
