Subject: Spark plug wires IP: Logged
Message: i have a 97 3.9 and still have the stock wires on it (75,000 miles) and was wondering the best set of wires for it? the local advance auto parts has an autolite professional series for 37 bucks i'm looking to spend this or less on a set any help would be greatly appreciated

Message: if you are not running a "hot" coil then any 7mm wire or better will do. When I had my V6 and a 50k volt coil I ran the local 7mm lifetime wires and replaced them at each oil change... never really had a problem though.
At this time though you should also do the dist cap and rotor.

Message: already got them on about 8,000 miles ago and the autolites on about 18,000 ago
