Subject: How to reduce Injector noise IP: Logged
Message: Can anyone recommend a good cleaning solution to quite down my injectors? Not the normal use every gas tank, but like every 6 months kind that are very strong.
It's now to the point that they are so loud they make my engine sound like a diesel. After replacing my lifters, pushrods, timing chain, trying stock exhaust manifolds, stock rockers arms that I figured out that the clattering wasn't all that! But the dam little red junk injectors! What fooled me at the time was it suddle noise at the injector itself which I thought was loud but normal enough, what it was really doing was echoing threw the fuel rail down into the intake manifold which sounded like lifters! Now that the injectors have gotten worse the noise is super loud on the fuel rail. Maybe that accounts for the poor gas milage and the ruff idle! Any suggestions on fixing the injectors or some good replacements that isn't going to cost a fortune.
thx
