Subject: 4 Cyl IP: Logged
Message: I have a 95 Dodge Dakota with a 2.5L 4Cyl. What can i do as far as performance upgrades,and, are the engines the same for a jeep of the same year,because i am having a problem getting performance parts for my Dak,and i really wanna put some time and $ in her cause she has some great potential. Thanks for your help.

Message: i think it is the same as teh jeep 2.5l. go to www.truckperformance.com. They have some stuff for the 2.5l.. No intake, but a k&n replacement filter. they got exhaust and chips too for teh 2.5l, bu ti don;t kno how much they are really going to help

Message: Best way to tell which 2.5l, check if it has a timing belt. If it has a belt, it's the chrysler version. Chrysler is a ohc the jeep is a pushrod. If it's the chry. 2.5 I'd look into a cam change. Very eay with the ohc.

Message: I think they started putting the 2.5L Jeep in 96. But if it is the 2.5l jeep check out turbocity.com. Has a whole kit dopne for the 4 cyl. jeep engine. If it the chryco 4 cyl. they have some decent cams for them. I can get you the part #'s if you want.

Message: I have a 95 Dakota sport single cab 2WD truck. My question is can I put a turbo on the 4 cyl engine and if so How big of a turbo can I get without hurting the engine?
