Message: Is it safe to say that the stress on a transmission from towing is the same regardless of the axle ratio? Doesn't the axle ratio just relieve stress on the engine? Thanks for any responses.

Message: Yes it does its like riding a bike with gears when you put it to the top gear it is easy to pedel but you have to turn faster to move. Also now that were talking about bikes the reason that the 3.92 can tow more is the same reason why you would have trouble getting moving in a bike in its low gear. take care.

Message: I think you have that backwords. When a bike or car is in a low gear, the engine turns a lot, but you don't go that far, and it's easier to pull. When you are in a high gear, you go faster and farther with the same amount of engine turning, but you can't pull but it's harder to start off in a high gear.
