I have what looks like a computer plugin underneath my steering wheel on my 96 Dakota. I'm not sure what it is for and was wondering if anyone knew about comp plugins on daks.

its probably for the obd computers. THat is, its just somewhere where you/dealer can plug a computer into your truck to see if there are any problems. Bad sensors, and crap like that, basically anything the pcm can see that is wrong

i think its was 96 when they all switched to obdII? anyone know for sure?
