Subject: Question on Hotchkis install?
IP: Logged

Message:
How many plates should I leave in the leafs to have ½” to 1” rake from front to back? I will have the Hotchkis coils up front but have heard people say leave all four in and some say leave two in. I would like to know how many people that actually have the leafs left in, and what the distance is from ground to fender. I think the truck would look good with ¾” rake but somewhere between ½” and 1” would be great. Thanks!!!!

Bobby

Then I would go with only two of the small leafs and take two out.

If you install the Hotchkis kit as is, you WILL have a rake to it with the back sitting 1/2"-1" higher than the front. It's the nature of the beast, and how most truck will sit. If you want to level out the truck, then you need to add some drop block on top of the plates.

For Rcs, leave all four leafs in. It will give a perfect stance IMO.
