Message: Anyone here ever shave their heads for more compression.? I plan on installing a M1 and cam this summer and thought that might be a good addition. Maybe .030 or so. Also does anyone know of any head gaskets that may be thinner?
thanks

Message: Ive heard of it. I think someone on the Delfi board had theirs milled .025 That might shorten your pushrod length too. May have to get special ones.
I think the Cometic MLS (multi layer steel) are about the thinnest head gaskets you can get. I heard those Cometic gaskets are awesome but are hard to get them to seal right.
good luck :-)

Message: I am waiting for my magnum heads to get done.
I had them milled .030 also had them ported and polished. I had the intake ports mached also.
The first ting I did was upgrade the computer
to be abile to handle the better air flow.
All this should be completed by wed. I will check back then if your interested.

Message: note with milling the heads... there is a chance that the intake manifold won't fit properly as you will change the bolt placement etc... you might have to get the intake modified to fit...
