ok...heres the 'part II' to my repair fiasco from this week.
:this week in review:
saturday night-truck starts running like crap, and making a whistling noise
sunday morning-drove 1.5 miles, and the truck refused to go above 9mph after that.
sunday night-towed the r/t to my family mechanic, and was told the cat was plugged. was also reminded of 80k warranty on the cat, so it was towed to a dealer.
tuesday-was told by the dealer it was the fuel pump, and that my oil/plugs had to be changed.
today-paid for repairs, and test drove truck (picked up after shop hours)..above 3K, runs like a champ, just like it should. below 3K, stumbles around like a friggin idiot, and idles really poorly as well.
someone please advise...ive about had it with this thing..

I wont let a dealership touch my truck. Clogged cat ? Fuel filter ? $hit man , I wish I could help. Let us know when ya find out.

i just picked the goddammed thing up an hour ago, and on the 4.5 mile drive back to my house, it idled like i had some enormous crazy cam, stumbled idling, and off idle, and my coolant temp wouldnt go below 210, and fluctuated all the way up to 250!!!! i dont know what the f they did, but im going back tomorrow, and i am not f'in leaving until my truck is fixed.

Don't they drive these things or at least start the engine to check them out after they work on them? I can't believe that these kinds of problems go "unnoticed" by the techs.

What about your O2 sensor(s)? I had one go bad on an S-10 Blazer that did what you are describing.
