i just recently purchased a 99 r/t that has
ported and polished heads with bigger valves, m1 intake, fastman tb, K&N extreme filter, thorley headers with a 3" flowmaster, msd ignition and wires, new pcm, trans cooler, transgo shiftkit, and a 2400 stall
my question is my tranny shifts into overdrive at about 35 and wont kick into a lower gear untell the throttle is about 1/2 is this normal or do i need to get a programmer and adjust my shift points? next my check engine light popped on today and i havent hooked it up to see why yet but could this be the o2 sensor????

I have a trans go kit as well in my RT and this seems to be normal.What I do is use the OD switch all the time.If you are driving around and the speed limit is 40 or below keep the OD off.You shouldn't use it at 35 or below anyway,it will bog the engine down.Anything 40 and up just hit the switch for it to engage.
