Had a great time at Houston Raceway today. Weather was beautiful and lots of R/Ts(and other daks) showed up. I attained a new best of
14.58 @ 93.28 with a 60' of 2.146. Could have been a little quicker w/a better 60' but I was happy. My previous best et was a 14.87 @ 91.43 w/a 60' of 2.11. The only change between the two runs was the installation of the new SpinTech 2.5" true dual system. This system rocks! Next mod up is the M1, can't wait.

hey how does that spintech look like and how much cash did it set u back? i was going to buy their swept side exshaust soon for $330.00, is the true duals better? did it bolt you your stock headers? thanks 97 5.2L v8 reg cab 5spd.

I love the Hypertech, the truck picked up 2 tenths and 1 mph just by adding it. It lets you adjust between 87 or 93 octane programming, adjust speed limiter, adjust rev limiter +/- 500 rpm and also adjust for tire diameter increases.

I would definatly say that the full dual system will beat any cat-back system hands down. I dropped almost 4 tenths and picked up almost 3 mph by going to this system. They can make it to fit stock manifolds, shorty headers or Mopar headers. I am using the shorty Hedman Headers w/this system and they seem to work well together. It is alittle pricy it set me back $800 shipped, but hey it was tax return money ;o) I am definatly happy w/the way it turned out. I think I will be even more happy when I get my M1 ordered next month. Go to www.spintechmufflers.com or call and talk w/Ron tell them Joey from Houston sent you.

Hey 360 R/T nice time, I've got a 02 R/T and ive been dieing to take it to the track. Im up here in the Conroe area and ive been looking for an excuse to get to Baytown. Hopefully I will be able to get to the track this week and i will post my time, but if you want to try and meet up that would be cool. Its always good to meet friends expecially ones with the same intrests. maybe we can meet up sometime or have a Dakota meet somewhere and bring many Dak owners together in the Houston area. The forums are good but in person is always better.

Thanks Travis. Conroe huh? I went to school in Huntsville @ SHSU. We (R/T guys) usually try to get together once a month or more. There were about 10 Daks(most of them R/Ts) out last Sunday. Oh crap thats fast for a CC. When my dak was lightly modded it went 14.8 w/2.2 60ft and i have a RC. Man I guess it was just a dog.

Went to the track last night. 1/8th mile times. Did suprisingly well considering. Only problem was my IAT sensor ended up touching a header, so i dont know how much fuel it was pulling out.
Worst 60 ft- 2.16
Best 60ft- 2.03
Conclusion...RSAs suck for traction. I probably could have gotten 1.90s with a better tire
Worst ET- 9.38
Best ET- 9.19
It was about 1hr between runs. Got to be 58 degrees by 8pm. Water temp was low too.
Best mph -78
Worst mph -74

My reply to the Lighting owner "Ah buddy, its a stock motor with headers and a K&N. Let me put a S/C like you have, and Ill beat that 9.0 you're running by a 1/2 second" The look on his face was priceless....lol

hey thanks for the exhaust info. i too want to order the M1 primary to fix my blown belly pan gasket problem. i read that the M1 takes care of that. its 330 here at a store without a installation kit. how much are you paying for yours?

I live between Conroe and The Woodlands, you need to come over to the delphi board. We meet up often and help each other out a lot, so stay in touch. Our last huge meet was on FM1488, we had about 15 R/Ts and 10 sport car/trucks there.

cool thanks, 1488? thats aobut a 20 to 30 minute drive from me depending on which way i go. i'd be more than happy to go to the next meet that would be very fun, and i'll bring some frinds to come check out all the rides. but anyways thanks for the other forum looks good... i hope to see my truck in the pic with the other r/t's on that front page soon
