I have a 2000 2.5l RC Dak. Right now i avg. 17/city 22/freeway(window sticker shows 20/24. This is driving normal to, no quick accel or racing. I was talking to my neighnor of mine the other day about how i can get better MPG out of it. He told me three things. 1) get a K&N Performance Replacement Air Filter, 2) A Raven (i think that is what it is called, similar to a magnaflow i think) muffler to bolt on where the stock muffler is( he said this should aslo get me more throttle response), and 3) put a tonneau cover over the baed (this one i already knew). What do you guys think, any other suggestions?

Good luck, I had a 99 4 banger and got about what you're getting. I had an intake and the exhaust. Kinda sad, traded in the 2.5 for a 4.7 and get about 17 mpg....

This is what you should do.... don't spend ANY money on it. Instead, buy a "For Sale" sign, and sell that bitch to some high school kid that shouldn't have the hp. Then buy a new 03 CC 4.7 5spd. LSD and u got it covered. But no seriously sell it... FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man I feel for you Gents I get 18.5mpg at 85mph I'm glad that i own a GenII now about the only Bitch we have is how to keep the cupholder closed.

I hate my cup holder, if it weren't for the rubber floor mats, i would soda and coffee stains everywhere from the cup falling out when i go around turns! Even soda cans sometimes fall out! Also i can't wait to sell it, i am going to get a Nissan Sentra Spev-V SE-R as soon as i can afford it, but in the mean time i just need to do something about the gas.
