We have the Renzoni mount now available--

http://www.socaldakota.com/images/parts/renzonimounton58mm.jpg

$30.00 shipped. Works with stock airhat, K&N GEN II, and any center mount style airhat.

Provides a positive mount point-- unlike an S-bolt that can have issues handling boost.

Yeah-- somewhat--- Comes with everything to mount it up-- Anodized yellow-- Might even prevent the dreaded- K&N airhat crack from happening when the airhat nut is tightend down too tight (crushing the airhat)-- this will support it.

I want one!! I don't see how to order it on your site though.

Are the mounting holes already in my 48MM TB, or do I have to drill and tap them? I don't remember seeing them there.....

Hey Sam,
Will this prevent my F&B linkage from hitting the bottom of my gen II? Bruce had me send in my TB to get a smaller OD roller put on to help it not hit but it still contacts @ WOT. If this will stop that then I am in.

The product was just released, so I didn't have it on my website.

You can paypal to my email address srp@cox.net Your 48mm should be good to go-- check the top of it-- it should have 2 additional non-used threaded holes. That's where it goes-- if your TB doesn't have the holes (older, I don't think there's a lot out there that DON'T have the holes)-- email me-- working out a way to get that handled (it was a new feature a ways back-- only now have the brackets been made available).

Email me for more info/questions.

Well-- there's two things that might be the issue-- A) Your K&N is whacked-- (mostlikely-- K&N has changed the airhat at least 4 times-- and the production is such that some sag down at a different angle-- and hit even the stock linkage)
B) You are running a superthin airhat gasket--paper-- you can get a rubber one (reusable) that will add approx 1/8" height to your airhat-- making it clear the linkage.

The new rollers are right on the edge of what the metal linkage frame is-- If your K&N tube is THAT close-- there's something else wrong. I have gone through 6 airhat tubes from K&N--- and a few have had the problem.

You can trim the final small area of the roller-- but the gasket would probably be easier and work better.

I have the reusable rubber gaskets and actually I have two to try and get added thickness. But it still barely contacts. I am thinking I may sand down the area on the FIPK where it is hitting a little. Or I may just leave it alone b/c I plan on replacing the FIPK with a Shaker in the near future anyways.

I'll check out my TB this weekend. Mine is about 3 years old, so the holes may not be there. I don't remember seeing them. I'll let you know. I need something different than what I have now. I have the Volant intake and it doesn't like to stay on the TB very well. The S-bolt doesn't seem to have enough stiffness.

does this "bulky" yet very sturdy design effect air flow in a negative way?

Not at all-- it's at the top of the TB, well away from the bores. Less disruptive than an S-bolt, and about the same as the standard K&N standoff that comes with the F&B TB.

If you F&B Billet TB doesn't have the mount holes (older billet TB)-- and want to run this setup, contact Bruce Bridges of F&B - bbridges@flometrics.com - He can do the tapping and threading to make this work-- there's a charge invovled no doubt, but Bruce is very reasonable as people well know.

Actually, I can do the holes, that is not a problem. I just need to find out if I will have to get a new gasket, because I will have to remove the TB to drill and tap. I'll check it out this weekend, and probably order one next week.

Thanks,

Shawn
