Message: Yeah, I'm definetly interseted too. I wonder what kind of price we're looking at? I was planning on building a fuelrail cooling system this summer, but this would be alot easier, and would most likely work much better.
It says that it works on a full-wide-open switch, I wonder if that would interfere with a wide-open switch on an NX kit? Maybe the two could be wired together?

Message: What does the intake cooler do? It makes sense to cool the intercooler if you have a turbo but an intake cooler.
Wouldn't want any other!

I'm more interested in the fuel rail cooler, I think that would be a great setup for us. Especially since Duner showed how much of a gain he got from cooling his fual rails, I forget the numbers but it was pretty impressive.

Message: Thats crazy, its just a co2 tank and some fitings that you can buy for alot less, the fuel rail makes and the intercooler setup would work but how would that coupling cool the incoming air charge?

Message: i was thinking of getting that kit a while back. i thought cooling the aircharge after the supercharger would be a great idea, but the price kills it. i cant see paying that kind of money for some Co2

Message: As an intake air cooler it doesn't make sense to me how it could do much cooling of the incoming air during full throttle operation. It would cool some but....?

Message: remember bernd built a cooltube which was sort of the same idea and saw nice gains.
I tried a mok version of duners setup a while back and it worked all right but was farely inpractial useing the washer fluid pump and resovoir with ice in it. I had to pretty much turn it on and leave it on and eventually burnt out the pump. the co2 would be nice as it could cool it down so quickly. I'd probable have it set up to a wide open throttle setup.

Message: there has got to be someone who could make something like this for us rather cheaply... I mean what is involved:
Microswitch for WOT in-line with an on-off switch
A CO2 source
a manifold for the CO2 to expand and cool
A solenoid valve to open the CO2 flow
wiring and possibly a regulator to slow how quick the co2 flows...
All in all this is probably $100+ jsut in materials... plus the cost of the CO2 tank... Maybe $400 is not that bad.... Any other thoughts?

Message: Guess what?
Nitrous cools your intake air charge down to like -40degF or more..... and then it lets go of some free oxygen molecules while it's cooling down.
Why not just buy a $500 nitrous kit and cool your intake charge like that?

Message: does it let the co2 go into the intake itself? wouldn't that exchange volume that could be air?
I've had nitrous before but don't really want to try that rought again. I love my kennebell computer and I don't want to have to run premium for the nitrous and its real hard and expensive to fill up a nitrous tank in my area theres only two shops that do it and there both way overpriced.

Message: the Co2 does not go into the intake. there is a little "pill" that holds the Co2 and allows it to cool the tube, and the air passing through it.
yes you will get a lot more power out of the No2, but you run the risk of damaging parts and gaskets.
IMO the cyrogenic is not worth the money on a NA application.

Message: The lighning uses the A/C to charge a resivoir of coolant then when the pedal is mashed this coolant circulates through the intercooler and it gives you like a 30-45 second cold air charge.. this I would like to do especially when I am running the A/C in the summer anyway...
