I have a Regular Cab 1999 Dakota R/T with 15,000 Miles MODS: Mopar PCM, Mopar Cold Air Intake, Kenne Belle Pulleys & Wires, MBRP Catback W/Cuda Tips & Flowmaster 40 Series, and I just installed Mopar Headers And Y-Pipe. I don't usually race but my buddie just bought a 2001 Ford f-150 Short Box 2WD W/5.4 (260 HP) and did some mods like Air intake, chip, exhaust, and good tires. So he thought he would shoot his mouth off and say he will beat me so I had to race him. To make a long story short we lined up on a back street and took off and I was spinning badly (My truck was going sideways)but still took him from start to finish just getting further apart by the second(By the way he hooked up alot better than I did). We didn't quite go for 1/4 Mile but I beat him by about 12-14 cars he was definetly in my rear view mirror. Don't get me wrong I like the Fords and have owned a couple but I must say the old R/T was quiler than I thought everyone downtalks them saying they are overrated but with a few mods they go pretty darn good.

either you made that story up, or you don't estimate distances very good. First of all if you spun badly at the start and he hooked up, obviously he's going to get a head of you to start with, so you didn't have him from start to finish. Second, your R/T with mods wouldn't be all that much faster than his ford with mods, Atleast not 12 to 14 car lengths, because if you didn't even go a 1/4 mile then to get 12 to 14 car lengths ahead he must not have moved from the starting line. Good Kill, but make the story somewhat believable.
