Subject: Dbl Roller Chain F.Y.I :) IP: Logged
Message: I'm impressed with the my new KRC timing chain so far, the old one only had 26K on it and has over 1 inch of slack in it! The new one is nice and tight, plus the inner timing mark represents where the key mark is on the crank shaft while the outter mark referes to the linning up mark with the cam shaft sproket dot. I'm half way done with putting it back together. I'm just using 0 degree mark. Has anyone else had a stock timing chain wear out that fast? I hope this clears up my valve train noise, because that the last thing I can replace. New R/T heads, Valve Springs, Valves, No valve lash stock rockers, new pushrods, new lifters, new cam. I keep everyone updated if this clears up the annoying sounds.

Message: I had my stock timing chain go for about 125,000 miles. It hardly had any slack in it. IT could of still gone for another 15-20,000 easy. I replaced it with a double roller chain.
