I am going to be purchasing an 01 R/T reg cab this weekend and have a few questions. What's it gonna take (no power adders)to get it into the 13.9-13.7 range on nitto drag radials? I also have a mustang and a boat that I will be pulling. It seems the R/T has dearched rear springs to get it lowered. Am I correct? Could I put stock Dakota rear springs on it and then lower it w/ a shackel? Just need to do some towing. Sorry for all the questions, and thanks for the help. This Dodge experience is new to me.

Get the active suspension leaf addons by Roadmaster. These will help towing and reduce axle wrap. I'm sure they'll help your 1/4 mile times as well. I don't drive an r/t but I know the active suspension will help you. I'm sure others will have some input.
There are lots of engine mod you can do as well. Go to krcperformance.com. Thats a good place to start. They have lots and lots for r/t's
