Sounds like a bunch of women. Settle it at the track.
With the times I have spent at the track, I am yet to see any NA 4.7 run better than mid 14s. Though I have seen NA R/Ts run mid to high 13s.

Oh, the "stock" excuse is for whiners that keep collecting yellow slips at the track. No one cares what you do or do not have at the track. Take it with no excuses or don't line up and race!

That's been my point all along, there Trottman...

Why is everyone's truck still stock? Who cares who wins that race? Yeah, my NA 4.7 Dakota only runs mid 14's, but I'm working to change that by the end of summer.

No real way to keep up with Tony C with just motor, but then again, this is my 4100 lb daily driver that sees 23,000 miles annually.

So, overall, I'm pretty okay with the "size of my penis."

NA 4.7s not being in the 13s means the parts aren't out yet, not that they're a weaker motor.
The stock vs. stock comparison is all about the motor, not the mods, or the tuner, or the driver. But you're right, people who mod don't care about stock performance, my truck was stock for less than 3000 miles :)

$7.95 for a 82 page magazine! Could be called "Mopar YOW!". Guess the publisher wants to pay off his Viper early...

Yessir, YOW! The magazine itself SUX. I wouldn't buy another issue.

If you're into Neons, I'm sure there are tuner mags out there that are a lot more informative than this stinking rag.

I bet they saw a DRAMATIC increase in sales this month though, so I guess they're laughing all the way to the bank.

Funny thing is, that is the last issue they are going to make. It's a sister publication to mopar action. Don't think much of that magazine either. I guess your sentiments are shared by quite a few others! There are some awful looking neons in there.

I agree that the magazine generally sucks and about fell over backwards when I saw the price. Supposedly it will be the last issue. I think that the editors are missing out on an opportunity here.
Believe it or not, there isn't much of a choice of "tuner mags" out there for the Neon. The Neon has and still is sort of the bastard child of the sport compact world. Not many people think that they are on the same level as the Honduhs, even though they've always had more horsepower/torque, etc. I won't get on that soapbox here though.
Hey, I like both my 4.7 Dakota and Neon R/T both. The wife and I are planning on getting her a SRT-4 next.

That Tenth Element club in Mopar Magazine (D-C's publication) had some nice rides. I think Mopar Yow! didn't look too hard for material for their mag. In addition to my 2001 RC/4.7/5spd/3:92, got a 1998 Neon Sport DOHC. One last thing; the 2000 4.7 had 65mm throttle body vs. the R/T! How 'bout a 2001 w/68mm?

OK im not flamed that the 4.7 is newer technology and it is a much more efficient motor! But remember the R/T stands for Racing and Touring right! What happened to the touring part of the competition? How about running an autocross with the both of them also? I'm not mad one bit that the motor is better! Because i know that it is Better with the 5 speed. I didnt buy my R/T to keep it stock so I dont care who is faster stock! What is a stock Dakota anyways!!
