I'm putting in the HO cams tomorrow(sat) and the wedge tool didn't show up with the cams. Does anyone have the specs on the tool. size, thickness, taper. I know you can do it without the tool but I will not have the time to fix it if the tensioner slips. Also how is everyone torquing the sprocket bolt without that special tool. Thanks for the help and I did try to do a search on this page to get this info.....Tom J.

I just put a ratchet on the crankshaft bolt and wedged it into position with a 2X4 so that it could not turn. If you lock the crankshaft, the camshafts cannot move. To tighten, just flip the ratchet the other way and wedge into position. Make sure it is wedged nice and tight so that it does not move. This also works to get #1 cylinder at tdc (crankshaft bolt). Remove the plugs so that you don't have to work against the compression in the cylinders. Good luck getting the valve covers off. A second set of hands comes in real handy.
