Will my TB off of my Dakota R/T work on my buddies Durango with the 5.2L engine? Will my TB give his motor more performance or will it hurt it?? Thanks guys..

Yes it will fit... It's the same TB-- no advantage or disadvantage.

Dodge uses the same TB on 5.9's and 5.2's , makes no difference if it's a Ram, Dakota, Durango or a R/T
