Hey Folks,
Well I took the plunge on a PowerDyne Supercharger today! I looked at all the options and this one ended up suiting me best over all (Great Price, performance, and ease of install). I am also interested in the custom tensioner for the Super Charger application, I have heard about the problems with the amount of pressure put on the alternator bearings. Also, if anyone has the time I would really appreciate it if you could give me some insight as to what modifications I should perform to get the best performance out of this application. Please bear in mind that this is my daily driver so I need to keep the gas mileage in a reasonable range, hell I only get 12mpg now so it would be hard to get much worse.:)

Here is a list of what has been done to my 1998 5.2L 318 4x4 CC Dakota thus far:
180 degree T-Stat
Autolite 3923's gapped at 0.050
All Fluids changed to Valvoline Synthetic (Oil is 5w30)
3" from Cat to a 3" Gibson to 2.5" pipes to tips behind each rear wheel

In the next week or so the following will be done:
Remove the clutch fan and replace it with a 16" hiflow electric fan
Put a temporary K&N FIPK on until the Super Charger is in (K&N For sale soon at a good price;-))
Install a 50mm Flow Metric Billet Throttle Body
Power Dyne Super Charger at 6PSI to start with;-)
I also ordered an IAT adjuster but it won't be here until the 25th or so

What in everyone's opinion should I do to the truck to provide the best performance throughout the power range? Currently I feel I'm lacking on the low end. What items do I need to take care of to ensure good reliable performance with the SC? I am fed up with the shift points on the factory CPU, but am wary of CPU mod's until I here what I need to do for the SC, so I have held out on the CPU stuff for now. I want to ensure I don't end up killing my engine with these mods. Mopar discontinued their HO PCM for the 98 4x4's for some reason, so it looks like I'm going to have to have someone do a custom flash for me (any suggestions?). How about cam's, valve springs, cat forward headers, and other minor engine upgrades for the 318? Any input on detonation in this type of scenario would be great, I'd like to avoid it;-). I really don't want to tear into the motor further than that, if I do I'll just end up buying a crate 5.9 360 and build it up from there.
Any and all suggestions are welcomed. I would really like hearing everyone's opinion on this type of setup and getting the most out of it

Thanks for your advice,
Shawn
