I have a chance to get a real good deal on a pulley system and they say it ads 8HP is it worth it and what are the downfalls??

I have the pulleys on my 97 5.2L 4x4, and they made a noticable difference. The only dowfall is that your charging system doesn't charge at it's full potential until 1100 rpm. Other than that, I LOVE the mod!!!
