Message: Hey, I was looking at your pics on your DodgeTruckWorld.com gallery and I have some questions about your fan shroud. I've been thinking of painting mine and since I saw yours I'm pretty sure that I will. How did you do it? You pulled it off right? or did you just mask everything off and spray? Is it just regular spray paint and did you use a clear coat afterwards? Are you happy with the results and have there been any problems with it? Is there anything I need to be careful of when removing it? Sorry for all the questions! Just want to make sure I don't wreck anything when I try it... Thanks again. Sweet truck by the way!

Message: ok,i painted the shroud on the truck.i just covered everything up,and taped it off.but,i you can take it off,it would make painting it easier.
you could just cover everything ,and do it on the truck.i used a metallic charcoal grey bumper and trim paint.no clear.it is fine, and i did that about 2 years ago.the duplicolor metalcast siver metallic basecoat would look awesome,i used it on some interior plastic trim.you do not have to prep the plastic, just spray.the best results come from cleaning the snot out of it!soap/water.use a light first coat, and a light second coat.then shoot it.should come out fine.good luck!

Message: Hey Steve, in some of the pics on your site there are some yellow hoses... can't really tell what they are hooked up to though... bleed valves maybe? What are they for and where do they go? I'm looking for some more engine detailng/dress-up ideas for this summer and those would look awesome with braided steel lines...
