Subject: Tires? IP: Logged
Message: I was wondering what is the largest size tires I can put on my 93 Dodge Dakota Sport Reguler Cab 2WD without any tire rub, problems, etc. I was wondering what a good ratio and diameter would be. As you can tell I don't know much about tires. I am looking mainly at BF Goodrich Radial T/A to BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A, I will definently get BF Goodrich, just wondering sizes. If you can help thanks.

Message: my friend put goodyear 31's on his 97 with no lift, and had no rubbing whatsoever, no bottoming out..i was pretty surprised. the thing to look at is most companies' tire measurements are not true. some 33"s will actually only measure 31.5" and vice-versa, my 31" bfg a/t's only measured 29.9"...something to look out for. if you are hardcore about getting bfg's, go with the a/t's..they are very versatile, never really let me down. i would suggest going with yokohama geolander a/t's...if i had it to do again with my jeep i would have gotten them instead of the bfg's...good luck!
