I had a honda civic trying to race me on the way home tonight. I have a RC 4.7 5-speed. So I gave him a chance, at 30mph we both floored it and by the time I hit 60mph, he was over a car length behind me. Too bad, So sad. When will they ever learn.

I love killing Ricers but be careful.
Embarassingly eneough...My Dakota R/T got punished by an older model Civic.
I later found out that the only thing Honda about the car was the body. The dude had a tubular race chasis, supercharged Chevy 350, and rear wheel drive race drivetrain, so I don't feel so bad. The best thing about this guys car is that it is a total unsuspecting sleeper. Its painted a basic medium blue and he sports the original 13" wheels and plain plastic hubcabs.
So next time your in Middle Georgia, be careful which Honda Civisc you decide to race.

Just wanted to toss in my little (short and sweet and to the point) civic story. Eh, my friend has a POS '92 civic and just got.. da-da-daaaaa, Ractive muffler with a 4 1/2inch tip! So he was all like, "DUDE! I can so take you! (typical ricer wanna-be lingo?). Long story short, you all know the outcome. I just needed to shut him up the hard way.

I know what rice cop is, and have a link to it on my site.
But 99.9% of all pictures INCLUDING THE ONE POSTED HERE are from my very own video camera!!!!!! Therefore ORIGINAL by me!!!!
That was an insult! Don't think that rice cop was the only person to take pictures! I have been doing it before I found their site. And I can tell you where to find a lot of those parked cars I have on my website!
The car on this page I posted with the crappy hood scoop was taken by me on 7th street, between northern and dunlap here in Phoenix Arizona.
Check out my site. I took about every picture on there my self. A few were donated from other people. Several who frequent THIS forum!

The backside of the same strange Pontiac whatever it was...
In the background here you can see the strange sign on the street. In Phoenix, there are ONLY two streets with those signs. 7th street and 7th Ave which use the suicide lane for thru traffic during rush our traffic.
I drive down this street almost every day. If rice cop has this picture, and doesn't live in Phoenix, he stold this picture.
It's one thing for the ricers to try to flame me, but for someone to say I stole something from someone else, that just bugs me! I've got years into taking all those ricer pictures! Any picture that I didn't take clearly says that it was GIVEN to me.

I just put on a 3" HKS cat back it has a 6" tip
and the car has even more balls than
before...in fact it sounds better and is faster
than my dak ever was. looks like I could shoot
a grapefruit at least 200 feet ; )

I am not sure if you are talking about a ricer of yours or your dakota.
But a 3 Inch SINGLE pipe is rather large for even a stock V8 yet alone any small engine.
There is PROOF that too large of a pipe HURTS power while there is NO PROOF of it giving any power.
Simple, a 3 inch pipe will NOT be correct on a 4 cylinder even at 7000 rpms.
When you go too large, your exhaust gas COOLS to the point where it gets more dense and you actually have to USE HORSEPOWER to push the gas out of your pipe.
You must be HEARING a loud exhaust and that in turn TRICKS your brain into thinking you have MORE power.
And where did that a$$weed go who said I stole my pictures?

actually...a 3" turbo back exhaust adds
upwards of 24 whp to my car. the cat back
alone adds 11...and let me tell you at
7000RPMS, this b*tch screams. check profile
for muffler pick, looks kinda big, but at least on
my car it adds HP, not some friggin fart can
noise.

WRX's are ok. But those stock 4 cylinders in no way benifit from a 3 inch pipe and virtually no backpressure. 300+ HP Camero's barely get that big of pipe on a V8. If bigger was better, they'd get bigger pipes!
Bigger isn't always better. Especially with a ricer. It is just louder. And to them that's all that matters!
And don't get me started about your HOT air intake tubes. (The ones that take air from under the hood with a pipe and exposed filter.)

Well just a little tid bit for all of you but a buddy of my mom's bf has a camaro IROC, an actual one from the actual race and according to what I am told the 305HO in that car is putting out about 350 hp with a single 3 inch straight exhaust on it so there must be some need for a 3 inch exhaust. But yeah I mean a 4 banger with a 3 inch anything is bad for it, personally I think they should outlaw any 4 banger with any kind of annoying mods to it, i mean hell I am driving a totally stock chev cavalier z24(my dakota isnt quite ready yet, suppose to pick it up today) and it has kicked more civic ass then possibly imagined and held a WRX right till I hit the govener(I was impressed). Anyways the point that I am trying to make is that everything has something that is right for it and that going over that threshold does more damage than good
