i just got my 03 club cab R/T this week. so far i am getting 9.5 MPG.
will this get better after the engine is broken in???????????
thats 9.5 MPG babying it!!! not going over 2500rpm

Yes, it will get better. Don't worry, most trucks start out that way...

They do take about 5,000 miles to break in and you will almost double that number.

I hit my all time peak for gas millage the first 6 mounths I had it. I pretty much drove it like it was made out of glass. I would still get it up to 75-85 on the HWY but I acclerated like I was driveing a Geo Metro. I was able to get 19.5 I have not gotten that type of millage since I broke it in.
