Message: A lower ratio rear gear (higher numerical) may give you the biggest seat of the pants increase for the money. You could through a lot of cash on small increases for a 318, might be better to save up and trade up to a bigger motor.

Message: Don't waste your money on a bigger motor you can get just as much from the 5.2 and the smaller block will last longer. You have a good start I would invest in headers, platium 4 plugs, and ignition.or an econocam.

Message: a good start would be a computer from mopar, and some exhaust manifolds from a 92/93 dak(cheap but worth 10 horse), with some 3923 plugs. then if you get pinging, throw in a 180 tstat

Message: Al, the MP computer is a good thing, but you will have to run premium fuel due to the steeper ignition curve, and without a cam improvement, you're not gonna make use of much of the increased capabilities. You'll feel a difference, just not as much as if you had more mods to take advantage of it.
I agree with headers. They help, no doubt about it., and you don't need the hi-po computer to use them.
Also as stated, the 180 degree thermostat will help, and not just with pinging.
Lo-buck hp helpers: Have you removed the air deflector in the air inlet behind the grille on the passenger side? Might want to pull the grille for this one. Makes grille breakage less likely.
RC Performance Engineering offers an airflow director that drops into place over the throttle body (313-499-0923). 5-8hp.
To avoid going deep into the engine, add 1.7:1 roller rockers, MP valvesprings and MP pushrods. Personally, I'd go with a better cam.
Bad things about this, the more you do, the more you wanna do.

Message: The 92 and 93 exhaust manifolds, have are larger than the 1995 exhaust manifolds. The flow of the bigger manifolds almost equal the flow of a set of headers at considerably lower cost.
