Message: got a quick question, a buddy on mine, who is a mechanic and has built some serious strret rods, told me not to install a t-stat without performance chip. he said i will lose gas mileage and my engine could mess up. If this is true, why????? if not does anyone have any clue why he said this. He is a great mechanic and helped me a million times in the past. so i wanted to see what you guys thought about it. thanks.
