 Subject: Help Please Truck wont start

I have a 96 3.9l, and I gutted the cat a couple days ago, and after I was done and put the exhaust back on my truck wouldnt start, the engine will crank over fine but wont start, I checked today and the spark plugs arnt firing?! When i gutted the cat i broke a 02 sensor but have replaced it now and still wont run. And there is no check engine light on.
Is there anyway to tell if the crank sensor is bad w/o the truck starting?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hey man try pumpin the gas a lil when your crankin it over!! Maybe that'll help! You sure thats all you broke!!

I dont think gassing it will help if the plugs arnt firing.

Try gettin a voltmeter and seein if you got voltage goin to the plugs!!!!! How do you know the plugs arent firing?

Probly not help but, my 97' 5.2L just up and would not start one day i screwd with it all day and i replaced the air filter cause it was really dirty.... nothing then i replaced the spark plugs and its ran like a champ just a thought altho it may not be ur problem

Exhaust work(cutting/welding) is one of many things that you should disconnect the battery for to avoid any sort of short...........to avoid frying the pcm or other componets. You did do that??
