Subject: Stainless Vs. Aluminized exhaust IP: Logged
Message: o.k....I'm going to get a new exhaust for my '99
Dakota (5.2, 4X4) this spring . I've had it since
March of that year and it has 50,XXX miles. Is
it worth the extra bucks for a stainless system
or is wise to just get a aluminized system?
For example.. a Borla or MBRP stainless
single are roughly $400. 00, while the MBRP
alum. dual is $350.00 and the Spintech alum.
systems are even less than that. If anyone
has any experience, I'd appreciate your
thoughts.
P.S> As I look out the window at the snow
falling, I'm going to let you know that I do live in
a winter weather area where the roads are
treated on days like today.

Message: Defiantly go with stainless, it will last a lot longer. Worth the extra bucks. I’m sure glad I did!

Message: definetly use the stainless, a little more now, but in the long run after the aluminum has rotted away due to rust, it will pay itself off.
