Hi my name is Candy,I would like to buy a stick shift v6 Dakota.I'm a dancer and my heels heart my feet after dancing all night,so would the pedal be hard to push in.I would like to get good gas mileage and have room for my stage things.My boy friend is a nerd when it come to cars and trucks,could any one help me.

Candy I will help you if you live in Vancouver and your boy friends a nerd. OK that was un called for but hey I promise I am no nerd.I am actually quite good looking (So Iv'e been told by my Mother LOL) and single so I have been told by my X. OK that's enough!!
As for pedal being hard to push. Na no different than any other truck. If you want great gas milage and don't care about muscle at all I will be flat out honest with you and recomend a 4cyl Chevy S10. I hate Chevys for looks but I think they make a great little truck that does fill a certain void. If you want great power with reasonable gas milage a 4.7 sport will move you equipment very fast and in style.

One more thing Candy. The 4.7 liter (V8) and 3.9 liter V6 actually get vertually the same gas mileage. The V8 engine uses something called an overhead cam to work more efficiently and that is why this is possible. This option will cost between $500 and $1000 more at time of purchase.
The extra money spent however will be recouped in the higher resale value later on if you go to sell it. The current V6 will soon be discontinued and replaced with the same fuel saving technology as the current V8. For this reason I suggest if you do want a V6 you should go with a V8 right now instead untill the next generation V6 is on the market.
Sorry my last post would have been hard to understand if you were not up on your engines. I am just assuming your not to mechanicly oriented but feel free to put me in my spot if I am wrong.

Forget about an R/T Candy. The 4.7 gets 24-25mpg and an R/T only 15mpg sometimes less. The 5.9 is actually gone next year and may be replaced by the 4.7 in the R/T next year. Just a rummor. The 4.7's are probably even faster than the R/T's if you go standard so the R/T as we know it currnetly really is obsolete. I almost bought an R/T myself but fortunatley did my due dillegence and discovered the 4.7 5 speed.
