ok, i havent really tried to race my truck at all, but im wondering what it will do.
i have a 97 dak extended cab with the 318. i have original wheels and 31 inch bridgestone duellers. it is a 4x4
my punk friend has seen the fast the the furious to many times and trys to race everything that pulls up next to him in his moms pontiac boneville. its the slle version or what ever its called. it has some v6 in it(not sure the liter)
my question is, what would a race between us be like. at a stop light, would i beat him off the line? would i pull away? what would happen. this guys a real loser and someones gotta put him in his place. will i be able to do that with my truck?

oh yea i forgot to ask something, are there any perticular throttle strategys or anything i need to know to race. i just dont wanna burn out and get left at the line cuz of over powering the start. do i just floor it? should i go easy at first then punch it?
i have noticed that it is fairly easy to smoke the tires with my truck, and i wanna try to avoid this. any suggestions?
