Subject: What should my 1/4 times be?? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 R/T CC and I was wondering what you guys think my times should be in the 1/4 mile with good street tires not slicks and these mods,
Gibson Headers, Gibson Exhaust with custom bent piping, K&N GenII air intake, Mopar PCM, M1 2bbl manifold, and 52mm F&B TB?? Also do you guys think I will see more performance out of the F&B over the Fastman??

Message: Depends on track temps, elevation, and a number of other things.
In general I'd guess you'd be in the 14's for sure, maybe low 14's with good cool air and low elevation.

Message: I will be runnin it in New Hampshire and I already ran 15.6 last year with only the Gibson muffler and K&N Itake. This year I added the Headers, Mopar PCM, 52mm TB, and 2bbl manifold, So I am hoping that I knock off at least a second on my 1/4 mile time.

Ahh...
Now I see it. My bad, I thought I saw "R/C" instead of R/T. R?C = reg. cab.

Message: I'm sticking with 15.0. The mods you added are great, especially the mopar comp, but I don't think you'll drop a whole .6 with simple bolt-ons. BTW my 4.7 3.55 ran 15.2 stock :-)
I hope you take it to the track so we can see who's right :-)

Message: 14.7-14.8 @ 91-92mph Go easy out of the hole, so you don't fry them. Go pick up a set of $50 slapper bars too. (won't hurt)
Let the truck shift itself, and take it out of O/D. Take the spare off, and drop the gate if you don't have a tonneau.
Good Luck...

Message: I had similiar mods and at the time I was running mid 14s at Houston Raceway Park.
Got a few more goodies now, and run 13.94.
A friend of mine has a 01 CC R/T with F&B 52 TB, M1, PPH Headers, Cutout, K&N FIPK, and no other mods running a 14.07. It is possible to run quick with a few mods, so never say never.

Message: I have a 2001 cc R/T that runs 14.90's all day with only a flowmaster muffler, homemade cold air intake, and a modified stock throttle body. I disagree about letting the truck shift itself my truck runs about 3 tenths quicker when I shift it manually. I shift to second at 5200rpm and third at 5400 only because thats about 100 rpm before the limiter kicks in or i would rev it higher. To honestly find out what works best for your particular truck you almost need to go to the track and not be afraid to try different things until you get it to run its best then stick with it. I launch my truck at about 1400 and shift at 5200 and 5400 like i said earlier.
