i ran a 5.9 yesterday in my harmless little 5.3 sierra he said he was mostly stock nothing major he said boltons but not sure what exactly the only thing i could tell he had for sure was exhaust, i put a couple of cars on him be fore he let off so i hope he was nearly stock cuz mine is,im gettting zero traction even on 20s he got a way better launch then me. just wondering around what kinda times do you guys get with the common bolt ons?

Thats kinda hard to believe. I beat a 5.3 silverado the other night in my v6. The guy you races must have had some MAJOR traction problems or something. My truck isnt stock I have 2k into the motor thats how I beat the silverado, but I still couldnt beat a 5.9, I come pretty damn close though :)

Hmm...2 grand in a 6er damn we chevy and gmc guys can take 2 grand and biuld i 9 sec truck...dang u should have put that money in a v8,just my -2- cents.

RC R/T's will run anywhere from 14.6-15.1 stock
CC R/T's will run anywhere from 15.3-16.0 stock
There's a real big margin for +/- there though. Altitude/Conditions/Driver Experience/etc. make a huge difference in times. I've heard of stock CC's pulling a 14.6, but I've also seen stock CC's run 16.4 out here at LVMS.

Hmm...13.1 pistions and arp rod bolts,team G intake and 1100 dominater,and cam and lifters full roller rockers and a good 400 turbo auto with manual shift,hmm...that should go around 9 seconds if done right and all around 2 grand there buddie.

LOL,why do you ford and chevy guys even bother coming here and starting crap there CHEVY GUY,dont get me wrong i do have 2 chevy's but i dont come on here and say that there better than dakota cause i do have a dakota to.Anyways big_torque and i'm NOT taking up for CHEVY GUY but he does have a point the chevy are well known for there interchangable parts i mean even though ferd guys are using chevy motor in there hotrod...*biult ford tuff with chevy stuff*...but on my old truck i had a 355 with right around $2300 i it and it turned about 9 in the 1000 foot not a quarter but thats pretty good for a truck,right now i have about 7 grand in a 468 bbc in a 67 chevelle and it should turn really good i would think.There's one thing you need to keep in mind guys and thats theres a big difference in a dakota with a computer and a hotrod with a carburater and that it takes way less money to make a old truck go fast.

True duals with mufflers (Dynomax Race) 2.5" in/out. I don't have a clue as to what the part numbers are though.

yea those numbers sound about right, standard cab 5.3 will pull high 14s low 15s stock. so i think thats how come i beat him he had no traction issues he laucnhed on me.while i sat there spinning, not trying to start stuff just wanted some numbers on the r/t's

Not trying to flame you IM7, but the fastest I have ever seen a stock rc 5.3 go is a 15.3x with a good 60ft. This is real world ran right enfront of me at carlsbad. Good air and right at sea level. I have also never seen a cc or rc get into the 14's stock. With the mods he had, even if stock, its impossible to pull that many cars on him espcially if he had a good start on you. Please try to convince your own kind that you beat a r/t. We dont need to hear about it.
