Subject: mods with supercharger IP: Logged
Message: I've heard that the kenne bell works best with a stock motor. I have an 02 cc R/T. Do you guys think it would be ok if I put the supercharger on with the M1, 52 cnc TB, headers, and true duals no cats. If so where do you think this would put me in the 1/4. Thanks guys.

Message: I'd advise against using the KB on a 5.9L motor... Very few people use that blower with that engine because there are a lot of tuning issues that arise with that kit and KB hasn't been very helpful with getting those issues resolved. The Powerdyne is the bang for the buck entry-level SC, and the Paxton seems to be the front-runner for top performance and tuning options. With those options you'd be well into the 13's in a club cab - depends on your altitude/conditions/experience too.

Message: I would highly reccomend not get a supercharger unless it is a paxton novi 2000. I have had nothing but problems with my vortech, and many others have had numerous problems as well. I would go with nitrous in a heartbeat if I could go back in time. But the paxton novi 2000 with your mods could easily get you into low 13s because of its fuel system. there is a stock cc rt running 13.6 just with the paxton.

Message: Kenne Bell and Magna Charger both recommend putting their units on stock applications.
They highly discourage the use of headers, as it reduces backpressure needed for BOOST.
Graphite01 on dodgetrucks.org , is running a NOVI-2000 on his R/T, and is quite happy.
I don't have the R/T, but I went with the Paxton for future upgrade ability.

Message: its around 4k, and it does say to tap the pan, but Bob found a way to just use the drane plug hole as a source for the oil....im sure if you asked him, he can give you a parts list on how to avoid tapping the pan.

Message: I like my kenne-bell as for tuning I got a Programable piggy back computer. redo the fuel/ignition maps and change the 2 kenne-bell injectors for bigger ones. ready to roll. id take a twinscrew over a centerfugal anyday of the week.

Message: notchlx, I wouldn't say that I'm totally happy just yet because we haven't finished the tuning. But of the kits out there right now, there are several things I like about the Paxton over the others.
When we're done, we'll be talking up the results big time and getting the truck out to as many shows and races as I can find time for so that people can not only see, but ride in the truck to understand what a good tune and seamless drivability is all about.

Message: Im working on a HKS fmu. Its experimental so hks is picking up the tab on labor and dyno time im just paying for parts but its the F-conS.
