Ok i've been trying to go faster and just spending a lot of money and only getting about.3 at the track overall. So i was thinking about running the NX Express EFI kit with 100hp. I have heard a lot of rumors on the pros and cons of nitrous, some being that it kills your engine life. Can anybody tell me if i run a 100 shot to a stock R/T if it will run down my engine. Any advice would be appreciated.

I wouldn't reccomend going over a 150 on a Dakota unless you change your head gaskets.I don't know if the engine life rumors are true.

Ive heard of guys running 100 shots and going through 20 or more bottles on the stock bottom end and having no probs. Just have to make sure you have plenty of fuel and no detonation. The cast pistons are the weakest part of the 5.9 engine. Im surprised they hold up to it. Changing to a better head gasket is recommended.

NO2 is the best HP / dollar you can get. Do your homework and have someone install it thats done it before.

go with a wet kit, maybe upgrade your fuel pump (if on the 5.9),go with autolight plugs,2 heat ranges colder than stock.stay 100 hp shot or less on stock internals.i am currently running 75 hp shot,no problems and love it.just put a purge and filter on yesterday.
