Subject: Oil burning IP: Logged
Message: I have a 99 R/T that is going thru oil like crazy.
I sometimes have to put 1 quart in per 200 miles.
I have heard about the plenum gasket allowing it to burn oil. If I have a bad plenum gasket would that also cause pinging, because even if I run high octane I get pinging. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Message: Yes, it can make your engine ping. You might try looking down your tb with a flashlight to see if there is any oil in the intake.

Message: If I put a M1 manifold on it can I still pass DEQ emissions? Has anybody used the Mopar Performance Parts manifold? If so, how does it compare to the M1 manifold
