Subject: I got the shakes IP: Logged
Message: When I am driving about 70 mph my front end shakes so bad I have to slow down. I had my tires balanced and that didn't help. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Message: Mine did the same around 45-50, thought it was the tires, but turned out to be a bad set of U-joints in the rear drive shaft.
Might also check the front end componets, ball joints, tie rods, etc.

Message: thanks for the suggestions. I just got underneath and was checking stuff out and found that it is a bad u-joint. Now for the fun part.

Message: Speed balance your tires. If you have a bad tire or rim, it will show up. If these are ok, check tie rods and u joints. Good luck
