i need to know the weight of a 98-00 front bumper and the weight of a 01-up front bumper. if someone has theirs off for some reason could i get a weight? thanks

had mine off a few weeks ago, its a 98 and the bumper and valance weighs about 15 pounds, the bumper itself probably 12-13 and the valance 2-3

Then there are the bumper brackets, and they aren't too light themselves.

CEREKE IT HAS TO BE HEAVIER THAN THAT. the top piece is all steel. id say around 40-45lbs.
xplikt - because supposedly a 01-up bumper is about 20-25lbs lighter..so for us racers if we switch to a 01-up bumper its a great savings off the very front of the truck!

Get a fiberglass hood then, the hoods are kinda heavy. Or they at least feel that way cause they're so big. Putting a hood on is not a one person job.

i took off my front bumper and there is NO WAY it weighs 40-45 pounds. its more like the other guy said 12-13. Dude its only abotu 1/2 the size it should really be. its cheap stamped thin guage steel. i bet the rear bumper weighs 30 pounds. the fornt bumper doesnt weigh anythign. They are realy lite
